Putin won't want to surrender , i think that is realistic , because he would lose everything or that's how it will be in his eyes..So it's not realistic to think he will just surrender and that the war will end this way. That is what they were talking about before others joined. If Putin hasn't been killed yet then he has good protection. However I think that NATO will protect Ukraine now and Putin knows that , so that is one more reason he won't want to accept that he lost because that will mean to be at the mercy of US and that is what he feared about Ukraine joining nato since the start.
