For myself I bought Sonic Adventure DX, Sonic Generations, Sonic Mania Encore DLC, Mark of the Ninja, Batman Arkham bundle, Killer is Dead, and DLC for Ys VIII. Funny story, YS VIII is one of those games where the DLC is already downloaded, you just pay to unlock them in your game, so when I downloaded an outfit unlocker mod for all the DLC costumes that weren't included in the Steam release, it had the side effect of unlocking all DLC for the game. So that's literally the only reason I bought the DLC that was available.

I had money set aside to pick up one game, which was Octopath Traveller 2.

I had a little refund come in for something from Amazon, so, I also made use of the bundle feature on Steam to pick up Yakuza 6 Song of Life for 4, and after gifting someone on here Disgaea 2, I bought it for myself as well, listening to Invisible Zoon made me want to play D2 again as it's essentially Cyber Dance 2.0. I used the remaining refund to pick up Final Fantasy 8 (OG) as I was in a nostalgia mood.

Now, after winning a gift card at the end and having 13 in my wallet, I'm genuinely stuck on what to buy. I don't mind topping up a bit as I'm selling a few old games that'll cover the cost of that and more.

Do I get Trails of Cold Steel? Bravely Default II (Which I've wanted for a while) or do I get something like Ys VIII : Lacrimosa of Dana?

My gut says go with Bravely as I've wanted it technically since January, after the holiday sales ended, but a part of me wants to risk trying something I don't know if I'll like or not, which is why Trails and Ys VIII are in the equation too. BDII is a safe bet essentially, I know I'll like it.

I also got some mods for SADX. Aside from what the mod loader comes with I got one that makes Tails follow you around when appropriate, Chao gameplay mod so I can take them out of the garden, and DC textures for DX models. I'd only ever played the vanilla DX experience before so it feels like an entirely new game now. Much prettier too because of the DC textures, water and lighting.

I played DX way back on the GameCube. Went through the trouble of getting all the emblems and GG games.

I got the PC version of Cultist Simulator and the DLC. It's free for me on mobile but I wanted to play with some mods.

I think this is the one I'm leaning towards the most. It looks fantastic and if I love it, would encourage me to get Ys 9 too.

It's also easier on the wallet too, with less games needing to be bought to enjoy the franchise.

Would you say I should go for all of the DLC as well or just the base game? It seems mostly like consumable items with a cosmetic item or two.

YS8 is great. Had it on PS4 since it launched.

The DLC is just mostly fluff, but if its cheap go for it.

The DLC knocks the price up from around 15 > 20.

Not a huge deal, just unsure if its worth it. Cheers, I think I'll pick it up later for sure.

Yeah, I decided to pick it up in the end mate. It was either that or Bravely and I figured, having just picked up OT2 for myself and you sending me P4, I have quite a bit of Turn-based already, so something more action-centric would be a nice bit of mix-up basically.

Hoping I enjoy it, I imagine I will and then I'll need to have money ready to pick up Ys 9 too! Haha.

Still, a much cheaper and less time intrusive investment than something like Trails. Still on the agenda mind, but definitely something to consider perhaps by the holidays or maybe into next year.

My splurging was very tame this year. Had to reallocate most of my budget for something else that I'm still on standby for, but I did manage to pick up a couple of things for myself.

Vampire Survivor's Forscari DLC
Pronty - An underwater metroidvania
XCom 2 Complete - Was between this and the original's EW DLC, which were the same price, but figured this would give me more (missed) bang for the buck
Pan'orama - Chill hex-placing game. Similar to Dorfromantik, but upgrades adjacent tiles.

I bought Bendy and the Ink Machine and Boris and the Dark Survival to accompany the game synklare gifted me Bendy and the Dark Revival. I think for the remainder of the sale I'll look out for some DLC for games I already own.

I ended up getting the Assassins Creed bundle with all the ones I didnt already have it came to about $58 on sale or something. Just did it on a whim to have all of them. Havent even played one since 2.

Can see myself pouring a good amount of time into this one, 100%

Ive heard good things, but just never gotten around to it.

Uve for a backlog in the hundreds at this point. Just have to accept Au cant play everything.

You're welcome mate. I hope you enjoy the game. I loved the movies, especially the first, and have dabbled a little in Earth Defense Force 4, which is pretty much the premise of Starship Troopers. Speaking of which I should fire it up again sometime soon lol.
