Because of nostalgia, not because they aren't misogynistic. Notice how those are ALWAYS the only "go to" people like that bring up as a defense and they were how long ago? Hell they also claim to like Princess Leia but if Episode 4 came out today, they'd be complaining about her, too.

Not over her character, but rather things like the fact she didnt even get to reunite with Luke (despite now knowing where he was) and of course the absurd nonsense that was her flying through space.

The unfortunate passing of Carrie Fisher almost certainly introduced more problems too.

It's not but I think the actual execution of the scene was what was off. It just looked silly, y'know?

The original EU had even more ridiculous Force feats and nobody cared back then.

Yep. Alien and then Aliens would get ripped to shreds by these dorks now days for being Woke and having Ripley being the best character around and constantly showing up every single man she came up against. It just happens to be that they saw the movie back before their minds were polluted with such garbage as Woke.

Yeah, I get if it looked bad as far as the sfx goes. But I've seen complaints about her being able to do the feat at all.
