Like. I cannot sit in a chair for an hour and then it will hurt for hours later.

I'm 30 and already old.

Why

I'm 34, I started deadlifting (and other back exercises, like barbell rows) and my back stopped hurting.

Your back hurts because when you sit you are using your back muscles excessively and not using the other muscles on your torso (like your abs) to balance that out.

It's exactly like how your arms hurt when you carry loads of shopping bags across the car park. That's your back every day when you sit.

Your back is weak, and you are subjecting it to stress every day without making it any stronger. So basically, of course it hurts.

Did you even read what he said? You need to strengthen your back/core with exercise. And also work on your posture. These will help. Also, if you're overweight, lose the pounds, if you're underweight, gain some pounds.

So weird seeing people younger than me complain about all these health problems. I work with people in their mid 20s who complain about their knees hurting guys who can't lift 35 pounds it is just weird.
My exercise routine is basically just walking and riding a bike and watching what I eat and I feel fantastic.

I can confirm this.

I had back problems for most of my adult life which I chalked up to the same injuries that ruined my knees and ankles.

But at 44 I ended up in job where I got a lot of exercise and got in really good shape for the first time since high school.

Back problem gone.

That's because more and more sit with terrible postures playing games or streaming, look at their phones all day, and some blasts PEDs at such a young age due to all these health influencers on YT/Instagram, etc, hoping to deadlift or squat 300-500 pounds when they're like 19, that they fuck up their joints, and back.

My knees were shot at around 14 because I got tackled by my two cousins (17 amd 19).

One hit me just above the knee from the left. The other hit me just below the knee from the right.

Do some proper stretching or yoga exercises. Or just more cardio in general so the next time you sit in a chair, your body actually needs to.

There's a bunch of reasons for this problem though but oldness at 30 is absolutely not one of them unless you have a medical condition.

Same... Mine is definitely from being overweight and sometimes not lifting properly at work... Also spending my off time just sitting around...

My knees used to be shot too until I started using knee pads at work...

Could have a spinal problem. I went 16 years not knowing I had Spina Bifida because my case is so mild you can't tell just by looking at me. Just one of my vertebra is deformed slightly. Only obvious sign is the Lordosis I got because of it so there's a pretty obvious bowing of my lower back.

Core excersises help alleviate the pain a little bit but nothing will make it go away. Still Im a heavy duty mechanic who regularly lifts 200+ pound hydraulic cylinders into place so its at least managable even coming up into my 40's.
