Summer vs. Winter

I would rather lounge around with few to no clothes on chugging glasses of water than stay in one spot with several layers of clothes on and wrapped in multiple blankets

I'd rather - and have - walked to work in six inches of snow than deal with working in 114 F in the shade, which I have also done.

Winter is superior.
Cold is also easier to deal with than literally melting in the sun.

Summer is my favorite season. I absolutely can't stand cold weather. Fuck the snow, fuck blizzards, fuck not being able to move in the morning even when the heat is on, having to wear gloves and thick jackets to go outside, your car won't start up because the engine froze and you need to jumpstart it, windchills.

Hot weather is much more bearable. You get to go outside in beautiful weather when nature looks the most beautiful, take good walks in nice hot 90+ degree weather, get to enjoy fresh air. The argument of "not being able to take off enough clothes" doesn't make sense. Even just wearing a t shirt and shorts is enough to cool you down from the heat.

Pretty much though. I think I'd go Fall > Winter > Spring > Summer. Just because there have been times when Summer just takes over Spring that sucks. Summer can frick off.

Only good thing ever about it was having no school when younger. I'll say driving in the winter is likely awful, but I don't drive so whoops.

You know what's great about winter? If I'm cold, I can put on another layer of clothing.

You know what sucks about summer? If I'm hot, I can't take off my god damn skin.

The humidity in my area makes it unbearable. On top of the grueling heat the humidity is so thick you're almost drowning through breathing making any physical outdoor activity the worst thing ever. At least in winter you can stay at least tolerably warm if you layer up right. My job requires working in attics a lot so that makes it extra suck to me.

I prefer winter over summer in the milder conditions.

I vastly prefer summer over winter in the extreme conditions. Snot frozen icicle mustaches and numbing hands/feet and trudging thru snow just to have some go over the top of my boots and boom socks are now soaked... yea fuck all that. I'll sweat.

Summer nights are serene and beautiful.. especially seeing lampposts shine their light on greenery swaying around. Feels like nights are much more alive too.

I can give Summer that the nights can be nice if they aren't hot too. It often was neat being out in the dark and it being comfortable with the sundown and there just being an simple earnestness to it; like life can be beautiful in this simplicity.

Winter f***ing sucks. Too cold to go outside and the days are way too short. Give me the blistering heat of summer, at least I can still enjoy the outdoors or go for a swim.

I'll take extreme heat over extreme cold. At least you can get to places in the extreme heat. In the extreme cold you have to battle the cold and the snow/blizzards/ice. A lot of preparation. Having to shovel snow is a pain, especially if it snows several times in a week. Extreme heat you just don't stay outside for too long, and drink water.

Mild heat vs mild cold - both are fine.

^.

I can't fucking STAND summer. I can't work because of medical reasons, any time not spent in front of a fan and/or inside AC makes me want to gut myself, and there's constantly people out in the park throwing parties and shit.

As soon as I can move to somewhere where the peak of summer hits like 75 I'm doing it.

I don't even have to shovel snow and I agree with you.

I live in extreme heat and wish somewhere was like 90 always, but yeah, I'll take the extreme heat.
Maybe it's cause I'm used to the heat at this point, but the cold makes me hurt.
I do sleep much better in a chilly home rather than a warm home.
