2 reasons Im not watching: Changing the lead actor destroys immersion for me, plus Henry was clearly passionate about the role. 2nd, I despise this tactic of splitting seasons to try and keep subscribers. I always wait for the full season to be out before watching, annoying as hell that they keep doing this.

That said, I doubt Ill watch this season anyway, no Henry going forward just kills all desire to keep watching.

People basically writing fanfic about why he left the show and saying shit like "they deserve it for treating Henry like this" makes me think that's what they're outraged about.

It was a combination of the writers basically telling him to fuck off when he voiced concern about them making changes to the source material and them bastardizing the source material.

Cavill has never stated this and no one around him has identified this as the reason for him leaving.

Thats because he is a professional. He knows not to burn bridges but if you look at comments the show runner has made about Cavill and take into consideration his background and passion for projects like this it is very apparent.

I just looked up Cavill's next movies and he's doing 2 spy thrillers. What if he's just trying to rebrand because the nerd shit was turning out to not be too great for his career lol

He's both lead and executive producer on a Warhammer 40K project. I guarantee he's not done with nerd stuff.

It's certainly possible, as must have been something big given how much he gushed over anything Witcher related.

But we still don't actually know regardless.

they might as well just cancel it. its the only Netflix show i wouldnt mind seeing cancelled.

I stopped cause season 2 was meh.

Season 2 wasn't meh, it was full on rancid shite.

The first season had redeemable qualities and it could, realistically, only go up from there. How Lauren and co somehow managed to fuck that up is nothing short of incredible.

The complete and utter disregard for the source material, delusions of grandeur and flat out Hubris from her and her team as well.

I don't know the exact reasoning behind Cavill leaving but ultimately, it's for the best. Liam should do a runner too, it's a trainwreck of a show, why waste your time living in the shadow of another who already nailed the role within said trainwreck?

Genuinely don't see why Liam would stay past the 1 season either.

A better show of faith would be to fire anyone who dislikes the source material.

But companies hate following the source material. They always think they can do better or hope that they'll make money based on brand recognition alone.
