Possible TMI warning. Meh.

So last week the area under my balls was itching (what they call a taint I guess). I scratched it and ended up doing it a little too hard. At first I couldn't find the wound, but it was hurting/burning to the touch. Fast forward a week and it's still there and it still hurts, though not as bad. And it really doesn't look like it's healing very well; there's a red spot there with a hint of blood (I assume it was healing and I accidentally fucked it up).

This is the first time anything like this has happened to me. I actually legitimately don't know if I should see a doctor at this point or continue to wait it out. Considering its location I am afraid it's gonna get infected one day while I'm wiping. I've never even heard of this happening to anyone, so I don't know what to do. It takes effort to go see a doctor, and it's so hot outside lately. And from my experience, urgent cares never do much of anything.

have you tried: disinfectant, bandages, and ointment, just to see if they would help?

I've tried those bandages that have ointment on them by default, though perhaps not enough.

If you are at all concerned, you should see a doctor.

The problem is the skin there is so pliable it is hard for scabs to form and they get broken easily by movement. Put some liquid bandage on it but be warned it will burn like a motherfucker.

The wound won't heal easily because of moisture and heat due to the location. I recommend seeing a doctor for a special cream, ointment, or even powder to make it heal properly.

If you can't go to a doctor, try some gold bond. We used it in the army constantly when out for extended periods.
