Did you read the article?

Though few anthropologists still subscribe fully to the Man the Hunter narrative, its premises continue to influence interpretations. For instance, archaeologists routinely assume that skeletons found with weapons were meneven as genetic analyses have proved some cases to be women.

I honestly have never heard this myth. I mean men probably hunted more than women statistically, but I never doubted women hunted, and were warriors in many civilizations.

I don't think it was ever a myth than women never hunt, past or present. How much or little varies by cultures.

Oddly enough the garbage pickup stat is probably skewed far more than the hunting stat. Garbage workers are like 95% male.
