The CEmen call themselves losers, and although that might be true depending on the eyes of the beholder, Ill die on the hill that nobody is predestined to live a lonely existence, and everybodys circumstances can change with the right motivation, and guidance.

I think that these types of self-help topics are productive. I enjoy giving the advice. But to each their own.

Yeah, no you do. It definitely it comes across like it. But you do try to genuinely help/give advice to people.

No second date?

Well, to my surprise, I managed to get a date with someone who rather spend their entire day sheltered in a room, so I was quite surprised she said yes to one date at all.

I don't expect another one, but we do end up talking daily. I myself am not a guy that likes to go outside either, so, I'm not really rushing a second date.

My last date happened at the end of last year. Everything worked out and we live together now.

When Covid hit the dating apps started adding a FaceTime like feature to video call your matches so you didnt have to violate quarantine protocols to have dates with strangers.

Its terrible. Unfortunately, some people have gotten so comfortable with the set up that its now their default choice for a first date they cite safety reasons, and that could be true, but mostly its just for convenience sake to weed out unattractive people.

It might be a legitimate starting point for someone with social anxiety, to get ones feet wet in the dating scene, but beyond that Id recommend against it.

Well, I did suggest that idea. But she didn't like the idea of being on a private place as a first date, maybe bad experiences with that, I wouldn't know, and I really didn't even want to bring that topic.

Recently turned 27 and never been had one. As others have said in the boards, I'm slowly giving up too.

Idk why.. but it's just to sooooooo hard just to find 1 date.. just 1.. uno... one.... just...1 date...

Dating apps are completely useless, there aren't any locations for meetups where I live (bars are overtaken by middle age conservatives and I'm Hispanic). The only locations where I can meet up is.. gym I guess? Yet, every woman there has a BF already.

Overall, it's hard for me and it's not my biggest goal. Sucks for my buddies too. My friend can only find dates in TJ and only get single moms. Yet, he finds it impossible to find a "American date" lmao.

Hahaha I wish! Living in SoCal is brutal when it comes to buying a home/apartment. I simply can't afford it. I've only met 3 people in my entire 20's that are able to live on their own.. while the rest in my age and younger still live with parents (including me).

She isn't into videogames, but I do send her snippets of me playing Animal Crossing with a highlight of the day, usually with a rare item if I get it. My village is full of horrendous villagers that I personally don't like. She laughs at my demise.

Well, she likes anime. That said, I've told her to watch THE iDOLM@STER anime. It didn't work, but I started watching it myself, since I like my idols. The anime she likes are all so different, it's difficult to pick something. She likes Haikyuu!!, Attack on Titan I think it's called?, Hyouka. It's super
hard to pick something like so, plus, everything I try to recommend, she has already seen it! If I am the videogame person, she is the anime person. Neither of us really is a fan of movies or anything that has acting.

Anime is great, because it takes forever to finish. Me and my girl just finished Demon Slayer (I wasn't really into it) but it seemed as if it took two weeks for us to get through just causally watching.

I have to imagine that if you both decide to binge an entire season, that you'd essentially be spending 12-16 hours cuddling up on the bed/couch. That's your greatest chance of it leading to a sleepover anyhow.

Nine years married and my husband and I still do date nights.

Been on 4 dates each with different women this year. Nothing even remotely long term has sprung from them, but I've had fun.

First one was lovely, but a pain to sort out a second date due to our shift schedules (had to skive off work just to get the first one). Eventually, we both decided that it was unlikely to work, so, were just friends (though weve actually not spoken for a while, so, thats probably ended).

Went on two dates with the second and was trying to arrange a third, but she went out with her mates, got drunk and tried calling me during an exam. Tried explaining why I couldn't talk, but she straight up ghosted me.

Other two, I met whilst on holiday. Met the first on the strip and got asked to go out with her the very next day. (First time someone's ever asked me first). Lovely night, but no interest in me once we both got back home. (Different cities makes it difficult). Second one was part of a group of girls staying in our hotel. Me and my mates had a lovely dinner date with them and we discussed a long distance relationship (again, different cities), but she explained she wasn't comfortable with it. Stays in touch on occasion, though.

Best year I've had since covid hit.
