Is it just me or so far (just finished return to Phoenix Gate) does Jill seem just kinda... there? Unless Clive specifically needs her for emotional support (or to act as his master), she doesn't really have much of a character. They did so far have a bit of a conversation where Jill was like "yeah my life sucks too in being forced to kill people", but still that was in service of addressing a mental state Clive was in.

Gonna put my thoughts and the boss name in spoilers even though I think it was named in one of the trailers or the State of Play, but Titan Lost was one of the most anime af sequences I've seen in gaming just lmao. Even ended with that not-Kamen Rider kick.

Also what are you guys doing with Torgal's Perfect Sic/Ravage stuff? Like should I use it as an ender or to just keep a combo going?

Are the ultimate abilities worth learning? I tried flames of rebirth but the damage didnt seem that great and the long cool down also hurt it.

Feels like I would have to learn them and upgrade them to get the most out of them but holy carp thats a lot of ap.

Yeah that's what I'm doing. After a basic combo into the magic burst if you hit up you get a perfect sic and keeps the enemy in the air a bit which gives you time to move in and get some aerial combos in. It's a lot of fun

What the FUCK?! Does the game tell you this?! It looks sick too. Can't believe I didn't know this. I was wondering what sic was good for since it kinda seemed useless

Just got Ifrit. What abilities are y'all using? I was using Garuda's ult for a while but long cooldown and it makes it hard to see enemies lol

Yeah Mastering is for those indispensable abilities you'll always want to keep regardless of which Eikons you wear, which honestly shouldn't be that big a number.

I would like this game to spend a bit less time talking and more time fighting

Abilities actually do get stronger/have more effects when you upgrade them. However, when you *master* them they do not receive an increase in damage/effects, they can just be assigned to any Eikon.

Press Triangle when hovering over an ability to read all about it.

Yeah I saw that. I think the combat ones (the initial circle) have an upgrade version with more damage/reduced timer etc. The ones that came from the Eikons only had an unlock and a "you can use it with any eikon now." At least I think that's what I think I saw. I could be wrong.

I am now up to 4 "feed these people" quests. One or two was fine but 4 is kind of annoying. I am 99 percent sure shit is about to pop off, I got a "you have reached a pivotal moment in the story" thing. My guess it it's for the second time jump.

For the skills that can be assigned to square or triangle, usually the first upgrade deals more damage or more AOE or more hits. Then the mastery upgrade after is assign to any eikon.

Is there no party system in the game?

So I hear the gameplay is really good but the story is pretty bad. I don't mind a bad story but it seemed kind of political and dry. I was watching some gameplay. Is there no party system in the game?

Still thinking of getting a PS5 for it. Usually don't get a console unless there are at least two exclusives I want for it though.
