I rode one in bali it was like for reef-seeing. It was like 20 meters deep so if shit happens, i could just swim up since i am a good swimmer. (Assuming they have emergency hatch or whatever, but even if we're stranded it was like visible with naked eyes and doesnt stray too far from the shores)

There's a 0% chance I ever will, but the idea of being in a normal submarine the navy uses or something doesn't really unsettle me. I'd never get into one of those shitty submersibles, though.

This. My dad likes to watch submarine films, some of them about real life tragedies, so that's enough to make anyone paranoid when you grow up seeing shit like that.

And those vehicles were a lot more sturdy than this hunk of junk was. Even with the ones actually built properly to withstand the deep sea... nah, I'd still pass.
