It does live up to the promise.
It has its flaws, just like anywhere.
But Vermont is another world.

I could see it though. As a Halloween thing.

I'm thinking a Chocolate Ice Cream, with small chocolate chips, and then some Venella chips.
With the Vanella chips being slightly larger than the chocolate chips for balance.

But then you would have The Dirt and The Grave Stones.

Vermont is known for its agriculture and as well as Marble after all.

It depends on where. And if you you are a skier.
Or if you like hiking.

At some point, you have to create your own distractions.
I wouldn't say it's a bad place though.

But ya, day to day, it's slow.

Your heart rate is probably lower than your average New Yorker.
I can attest to that. The moment you cross into Vermont everything changes.

I rode my bike right to the edge of Champlain today, in sight of New York. Thought about crossing over, but decided to stay on my own side.

For what its worth Ive been to VT a few times and really liked it. Friendly people, good food, great beer, nice scenery. Maybe living there would change my outlook though. Especially when winter comes.

Yeah pretty far south, it's Chipman Point a bit south of the Ticonderoga ferry.

I love the bike trails in Burlington, though there are a lot of insane cyclists there.

Ya, I was thinking that that looks about by the Fort Ticonderoga area.
Pretty sure there is a good hiking spot across from The Fort. On the Vermont side.
I once threw up with my mother around the turn near Crown Point, just before you go over the bridge...the old bridge. ~That was in the 80's.

So, you are by the lake and not too far from Burlington, it could be worse.

I have friends from Plattsburgh and whatnot. So you kinda' roll with it.
Vermont might be boring at times, but sometimes less is more.

If I ever moved back east Id want to land in Burlington. I went to college there and last visited in 2019 and it was still great albeit a bit crowded. Its absolutely integral to have a winter hobby though or else youll lose your mind.

I live in Burlington and confirm VT is in fact boring. But it's beautiful and the people are friendly..at least outwardly.
