More than likely. I've played all the Trails games except for the 3rd Sky game.

I am really interested. What do we know about it? Probably 100% buy for me.

Day one purchase for me. I just need to finish Cold Steel 4 before July and that wont be a problem because I am at the very end of the game.

I don't think so. I got extremely burned out on that series, but maybe by 7/7 I'd care more. I never did finish Azure that progress is gone forever, but Trails from Zero is awesome. Just ugh I played too much Cold Steel in a short time perhaps.

I shelved CS4 until after I finish Zero/Azure

Cold Steel slowed my momentum quite a bit as well. It's not bad, but it drags. IV really really drags.

The start of IV was good and there are moments but tbh I finished that game out of obligation and got the best ending mostly on accident because fishing is important I was sick of fishing still somehow fished enough that when I decides to look up stuff it was like complete your fishing line-up and there is the set up.

Didn't think I needed to spoil that but Cold Steel should have been only three games. I feel like Cs2>1>3>4. I like CS1 more than most ppl also 4 isn't awful just I was getting worm out so 3 by default wins.

Nah. I've only played the first trails in the sky, and never actually finished it.

It is definitely the longest. Me and my friends argued Act 2 could just be...completely cut out. There's also mixed feelings about basically "replacing" class 7 in a sense being the response they chose to go with to fan feedback about Class 7 not feeling strong as characters.

As for Reverie, definitely a day 1 for me lol.

In Cold Steel 3 it was fun putting Rean on the bench for most fights since he was the teacher, so I did find roleplay in that. Also after the first game I played everything on Hard because just I wanted encounters to matter.

Yep. I'm plugging away at Trails to Azure right now. It's the last one I need to play before Reverie comes out.

Eventually, but I am crawling through these games at a snail's pace

i am replaying iv also at the moment. i am in act 2, just started moving around the country and fighting cryptids

It was definitely an improvement on the cold Steel line and wraps up both the cold Steel and crossbell stories nicely

awesome. i love both the cold steel and crossbell arcs so i am super pumped. can't wait for the calvard games, they look really interesting imo

there is so much they can do with calvard, they have built it up but there is plenty of room for whatever they wanna do

so far ive only played cold steel 1-2, trails into zero and the first sky game. i gotta finish all that other shit before i can touch reverie

Dawn/Kuro 2 was heavily criticized for "spinning the wheels" and not moving the plot forward in a significant way so despite a near complete fan translation for Kuro/Dawn one being available and compatible with the NISA version on steam (English will be patched in officially later) I'm going to take a break and wait on how Kuro/Dawn 3 is received before starting 1.

There's already a fan translation in progress for Kuro/Dawn 2 for CLE's version on Steam as well.

Yeah it started in 2004 and there's already 12 games to cover possibly 70% of the series according to Nihon Falcon at this time, but Cold Steel 4 was supposed to be the 60% mark and 3 games after only pushed it 10% further.

That happened with Kuro because initially it was only supposed to be 2 games.

apparently there will be 2 or 3 more regions explored in games after the calvard arc. i am guessing remiferia and arteria will be two of them for sure.

i am ready to find out more about the grandmaster of ouroborous

this. there are tons of games in the series but i can say it is my favorite videogame series of all time. the original trails in the sky games are all amazing in every way. the crossbell games are arguably the best of all the games and are tremendously good in every way, from story to gameplay to world building. the cold steel games are generally the longest but they are worth every hour of gameplay. the cold steel games probably do the best world building of them all while the crossbell games are the most balanced.

i genuinely think every single game is worth the time it takes to play them. if you like jrpgs this series is the absolute creme of the crop

Honestly I'll probably get it... I am just not pre-ordering or pre loading it. If I'm still kicking and I see it's out, could happen. As I stated earlier though I got super burned out on Cold Steel. Unfortunately I have not played much of Azure. I could try to remedy that.

for a long time either cs2 or 3 was my favorite of the series but azure takes the cake for me. absolutely worth a play and if you haven't played cs3 and 4 the plot twists are god tier
