Nice, where do you get these new release updates or have you just been following this band? Wikipedia's list covers a lot of "alternative/indie" stuff, but seems to be missing a plethora of new metal and jam band releases.

Definitely not expecting anything resembling Red or Blue, but will probably still give it a listen.

I think that whole Savannah scene is overhyped. Yes the artwork is good but the best album it's graced is Kvelertak's

I keep up with them by checking the subreddit for them, >.< . That being said, they sent out a postcard thing last week with a link on that said to check back on the 20th for new music, and there was a short teaser video with some music and a quick look at the new album's artwork!

A 15 or so second clip is nothing to draw any real conclusions from, but the riff in the teaser sounded a little black metally. It might be cool if the new album has some of that in it.

Oh, got ya. Yeah, I just checked and wiki has a page for metal / hard rock releases exclusively too, but even that list doesn't have everything like this album is only indirectly referenced at the bottom.

Wow, thanks a lot. That's a lot more expansive, especially the latter source it seems. I already found 5 albums (or 6 album's worth) I missed over this year just by looking at wiki's metal list, though I imagine it's more lacking of more extreme genres of metal and even some of the dorky symphonic prog stuff I like.

AMG specifically supports obscure metal/genres, and even avoids covering obvious releases depending on the band

you can sort by genre tags and theyre pretty thorough

I loved Gold & Grey, but the production/mixing left a lot to be desired... but the production on this sounds much cleaner. I'm not able to listen to vinyl, but I made it a priority to pick up one of the ten limited edition vinyls because they're signed, >.< . Baroness is my favorite band, so it was a must have for me.

I actually just picked up Purple on vinyl yesterday. Haven't really listened to them beyond that album, but I like it.

A lot of people liked Purple, but to me, personally... it's their weakest album. That being said, all of their albums are great and I'd recommend any of them.

September 15th can't get here fast enough.
