  • Jodio ends up getting the best of Rohan
  • he's able to coerce their freedom after figuring out the pieces of dried lava Rohan had were more valuable than the diamond, and pressures him to comply by breaking one of the pieces (there were two)
  • Rohan asks to speak to Jodio privately and tells him to hold on to the piece of lava, about how it might be the last one, and how keeping it will lead to wealth and "mechanisms"
  • next chapter it looks like they'll be chased by a bunch of cats

Rohan arc seems to be over though.
Rohan seems unusually incompetent to lose to Jodio after beating the other three up. Guess he got cocky.

I refuse to abandon my theory that this is the same Rohan from the original continuity and he somehow either slipped through the timelines or prevented himself from being rebooted with Heaven's Door nonsense.

If that theory holds up then the lava rocks and/or diamond might also be connected to the old timeline, possibly the last remnants of it aside from Rohan himself.

Rohan doesn't really think anybody's trustworthy. He's always been a suspicious loner. Koichi is really the only person you could say he actually considered a friend or ally; everybody else in part 4, he just tolerated at best.

IMO An AU Rohan inexplicably being so similar to the original Rohan when every other counterpart has had significant differences is just as funny.
