Shes demonstrated shes biased during the investigation phase.

She already clearly showed that she can't remain impartial. But regardless of that, no judge should preside over a case where the defendant is the person who appointed them. That's the very definition of a conflict of interest.
She absolutely should recuse herself, (but of course, she won't).

do any of you think she will recuse herself? yeah the people who picked her should have seen that trump appointed her, and not done so.

Anyone who DOESN'T see it as a conflict of interest either has serious brain worms, or is being seriously willfully ignorant. Possibly both.

We shouldn't be counting on judges choosing to recuse themselves. There should be a mechanism for an impartial panel of some sort to force it too if there is a conflict of interest a judge refuses to acknowledge.

With these kinds of charges, the prosecutors will apparently have a right to an immediate appeal to the 11th circuit if the judge tries weird shit like she did before.

We'll have to see how it goes.

Trump will keep his passport and will not have limits on international travel. Ridiculous.

Trump can have no contact with witnesses in this case, which includes his co-defendant Waltine Nauta, except via counsel. Nauta has been campaigning with Trump, so I guess that's over.

This is 'Hanging Chads' all over again.

The judge in the Disney case recused himself because his niece had some Disney stock or something in order to avoid looking biased. This lady has been seen at trump rallies wearing facepaint to support him but now bias doesn't seem to be a concern to people in florida.

I think it's another one of those things that no one ever thought would happen, so there's just no legal precedent for this. I'm guessing there will be some laws made about this in the next few years.

Compare the teeth, if you can actually see another picture of her actually smiling, or talking.

Either way, it's a huge and blatant conflict of interest.
It doesn't even matter if attended a Trump rally, the appointment is enough.
But let's not pretend our legal system is Just.
