WoW for sure.

My brother got that, it was legitimately amazing. Very difficult game though. Absolute shame it never really went anywhere.

I bought SF5 on release, most of the season passes as they came on PS4 and then Arcade Edition when I moved to PC. I also bought a couple of costume packs.

I used to be really into Rock Band and spent a lot of money on DLC. I got the base game as a Christmas present, but I probably poured at least $400 into it (songs were roughly $2 each and I had at least 200 DLC tracks at one point).

I remember one summer, Pepsi ran a promotion where if you bought a bottle of Pepsi Throwback, there was a code on the underside of the cap that you could put in for a chance to win a free song. The trick to always winning was to wait for the daily timer to roll over. I got so many "free" songs that way (I drank a lot of Pepsi). I still remember giving an extra code to a buddy of mine, telling him, "Now wait until midnight to redeem it because they've probably given away all the free songs for today," just for him to immediately try to redeem it and lose lmao

I think the most I've ever spent on a single game was Maplestory. It's an MMO that's been around since 2003 and I used to play it ritualistically for about 10 years. I don't have an exact number, but I used to spend $200-$400 a month in it. And over 10 years... That's easily over $20,000 spent >_>

As far as virtual stuff, I've spent a lot in CSGO, but made a lot of profit. That shit is more stable than any stock or crypto.

I've spent a buck and change on Path of Exile by now.

Seems like a lot but usually it keeps you from constantly buying new games saving you money.

Non-subs spending was probably around a hundred for quite a few games.

I used to play a gacha game daily over the course of 6 or 7 years. I didnt buy tickets consistently, but I would for the big events. Im sure it adds up to several hundred dollars over the years.

Probably around 300 for EU4 over it's decade of development.

If you add up all the years of subscriptions, the expansions, paid services like server transfers, etc....I'm easily over $4,000 deep in World of Warcraft after 19 years.

Yeah, I don't regret all the money I've splunked down on it, and I've even made some back..... but not nearly as much as I have spent after doing fuzzy math in my head looking at your figures and then stopping because I don't want to know. lol

If we want to count the monthly charges incurred from playing MMOs, then FFXI will take that crown. I spent almost 10 years playing that game, at $17.95 CAD a month. That works out to over $1,500 USD over that time.

If we're counting non MMOs, then probably the many times over I've purchased Final Fantasy 4. If we're counting a single video game at all, then the special edition for Shin Megami Tensei V.

Probably the Total War: Warhammer series, depending on how you count it. Each installment is kind of like DLC for subsequent games, and there's a bunch of DLC for each individual game, and I've bought most of it. If you don't count them together, then maybe Stellaris, though I haven't really played or bought any new DLC in a year or two. No one milks DLC like Paradox.

I'm ashamed to admit it but, over the years I've probably spent around $200 on Paladins.

Unknown amount into the thousands for Rock Band. Bought the RB1 full kit, the Ion ekit made for RB2, an actual ekit, couple of the full size wooden Strats, various cables and converters needed over time, every single disc and export, and hundreds of songs totalling to a RB4 ingame library of over 1600 songs. Literally bought the new Foos song Rescued yesterday.

The game definitely helped me to become an actual drummer.

Around 100 bucks for the Bug Fables collectors edition. I've got a shitload of rare games that go for hundreds, but I've never spent more than 80 bucks on any single game without bonus shit

I was going to say $100NZ/$60US on Forza Horizon 5, but actually a comment reminded me it would be RuneScape membership. Probably something like $150US in total.

Madden 16 might edge it cause I did buy a few MUT things, a couple of the $100 packs iirc as well as smaller price packs, but that was the last time i got invested in MUT at all. After 17 came out and all i got was a consolation prize, I quickly dropped all things MUT lmao

Same. I had a different version than that pic though. It was a very difficult game, especially considering if you didnt eject in time when your mech blew up it deleted your save file.
