why Iron Man is the only one fighting the guy committing terrorist attacks on American soil and threatening to kill the president, and Captain America isn't getting involved

This is post-Avengers so they definitely know each other at this point

They're busy, okay?

Those kind of plot holes are a necessary evil for the Avengers films to happen. I don't really care because most of the Avengers films are better than the standalones.

If The Bible is supposed to be canon with our universe, then how can there be two different versions of the creation story? Plot hole alert.

Nah Iron Man can handle it solo, the weird nerfing they did in that movie so the plot could happen was bizarre. It's captain america who should have called tony in winter soldier, but then the plot really couldn't have happened in that movie. So much stuff had to be ignored.

I'm more bothered by the fact that Tony didn't have any security in place for meager rocket launchers.

Actually what's really annoying is that Avengers 2 has the worst opening of all time. The Avengers didn't get together to save the president, fine. They didn't get together to literally take down Hydra and its laser warship helicarriers, fine. They didn't even get together to literally save the "9 realms", leaving the fate of the universe in the hands of nat port, nudist erik selvig, and wise cracking kat dennis. Fine

But they decided what needed all of them getting together was storming one random Hydra base? Really? That's the Avengers level threat?

Cap and Black Widow were busy having their own adventures with S.H.I.E.L.D.

A lot of movies like this, if you apply logic, the movie would end in 10 minutes. Throwing every hero available at every situation would get old fast.

Comic stuff is full of "why didn't they just..?" moments.

Don't worry, if everyone who SHOULD be saving the day is absent, look away and plug your ears for a couple minutes. When you look back you will see the problem gone and some girl with a tail surrounded by squirrels acting spunky.

Actually living in the Marvel-verse (Or DC for that matter) would be kinda hellish though. As in, so many bad things, not all of which are reversible by the heroes, happening almost every day in multiple cities.

Why is this not being treated as an "all hands on deck" situation yet
