I've no reason to.

It's funny all of the people getting mad over Ariel's appearance. They put a shirt on King Triton and removed a line from a song referencing body language. Even if they had cast a white girl to play Ariel, she still wouldn't have been sporting a cleavage-enhancing shell bikini or showing off her bare legs on the beach. For the time being at least, Disney has gone full puritan.

And Halle Bailey is cute. She's not a perfect ten, but this movie is a musical meant for little girls.

Haven't been interested. It's a combination of not having watched the original and being dissatisfied with how they've been doing their live-action remakes. Dumbo was unironically the only one I enjoyed because they practically made it a different movie by changing the perspective to humans instead of the actual Dumbo character.

I'm not interested in the movie at all, however, I think the vitriol and sincere hatred that Halle Bailey's casting generated was absolutely abhorrent and I also wish the film success simply to spite the haters.

My five year old nephew saw it and loved it. Ariel is pretty and has brown skin like me. So yeah, it got the little dudes thumbs up
