First, she wasn't a playable character at release. Add to that, her new character design was ugly. Then in the story she ~~was killed by an awful character.~~ When she finally came out as DLC I was over it. I like that she looks like a main character again and her design looks a lot better now. Thing is, this studio has trained me to not buy the game at release. First, she wasn't a playable character at release. Add to that, her new character design was ugly. One thing that fighting game developers and publishers use as an advantage is that games day 1 have the highest userbase. With high userbase makes matchmaking a lot easier for online fights and makes it more likely for you to find someone at your level. Buying a game late in its life when the userbase is low also means you're going to be fighting nothing but veterans or absolute scrubs who don't know what they're doing. It's a trade off, hence why I tend to buy fighting games day 1 because I love to play fighters online. NRS shows they have the solid foundation for stable netcode, if only their recent games didn't play like ass. Injustice 2 was a laserbeam show and MK11 made projectiles way to fucking safe. I get they added teleports to almost the whole cast to make it for it, but they also added teleports to those characters that can zone really well. It just wasn't fun to watch or play. I hope they go back to its MKX or MK9 roots.
