That blue cube hidden behind the chest that gives you the Longshot. The one partially camouflaged by the floor in a kind of room you're conditioned to assume has no alternate exit. The one you have to play the Song of Time for. Why is that allowed?

People used to call this one difficult a lot but I don't feel like I was challenged as much as I was subjected to the world's least interesting inventory-screen-themed trial and error simulator.

I should be glad it's over but I'm just kind of disappointed that it's in the game in the first place. I feel similarly about Bed of Chaos and that DMC4 level in the forest with the purple warps and chimera assaults.

Never found the water temple particularly hard, just annoying.

Water Temple's challenge has always been overblown. If you just go to all the rooms you couldn't previously reach each time you raise the water level, you'll be fine.

Having to open up the menu each time you need to change boots is the biggest flaw, and the 3DS version rectifies that.

Especially on N64, since you have to pause the game to swap between wearing and removing the Iron Boots, which you'll be doing constantly. The 3DS version made it much more tolerable thanks to having that function on the touchscreen.
