Never played it but it looks amazing based on videos and pics. I can imagine myself having a good time with it and giving it a 5 star rating on gamefaqs and 10 rating on metacritic

I like the game, but it has other weird decisions besides that.

Zelda games and Mario games and the rest of the big time Nintendo IPs always get vastly overrated

It was around the 3rd time I fought that stupid repeating boss that I realized the game just isn't great. It's fine but pretty much everything about it has issues.

Ancient Cistern was a great dungeon and boss tho

It was on sale / buy one get one last month. Still in shrinkwrap as I play TotK lol

It's objectively the worst 3d zelda game. Had potential but I genuinely think the devs for whatever reason just gave up.

The game is three acts.

1: oh this game is pretty neat
2: huh this is getting repetitive and it treats me like an idiot and likes to waste my time. Desert area is cool tho
3: I'm sick of this damn game why won't it end Jesus stop it. Desert area is cool tho

not much I like about SS but the first 20 seconds of the credits is the best music in the franchise

God it's crazy how much Fi talks. She's so boring too even if her design is great. Midna is still the GOAT companion

Honestly that was one of the best parts for me. I liked the one to one motions, made the battles very engaging. What sucks is that Fi never shuts the fuck up and spoils how to do puzzles for you constantly. Oh and the bird controls do suck, yeah that was awful.

And swimming. Terrible. On the Wii it was awful cause you needed to reset the controller every three minutes. The switch version borked up even the standard controls again too

Only 3D Zelda I haven't beaten (TOTK aside)

When I played it on Switch, I thought it was okay. Then I read the QOL improvements from what was on Wii, and I was like "yeah, that sounds dreadful".

Its easily a bottom tier Zelda game. Zelda gets bias for its namesake regardless. Look at the latest installment to a 8/10 game at best.
