I still see no evidence that 261 was explicitly flagged by Fandom to be closed down or if that only occurred after some trolls coordinated an effort to make it happen.

Actually, 261 was the very first thing that came up in my very first discussion with the Fandom community team many months ago. They are aware of and (at least as of now) have not raised any concerns over CE.

No, you see. It was such a hot topic that it was the first thing brought up when fandom bought them but only then 6 months later they had no recourse but to suddenly shut it down with 0 notice because it "promoted abusive language." It all makes sense when you think about it!

the chud types that got mad at being destroyed on 261 will still just get destroyed on any other board that allows political discussion. they run away from ce as well. those types just aren't able to defend their opinions, they will just try to censor people since they can't win arguments. the problem for them is that they will just keep losing anywhere they go, which is why they mostly just congregate in their own safe spaces.

They started their campaign less than two weeks ago, even creating a step-by-step guide. Their strategy was to appeal to DToast specifically.

That would explain why Allen's justification differs from DToast's. Also why it doesn't fit the timing and doesn't make any sense, unlike DToast's.

Yes, but at least DToast's fits the situation given the timing of that coordinated appeal to him.

Allen's doesn't explain the timing and doesn't explain why they don't close all social discussion boards, since those also violate the community guidelines he cited.
