The first time he went up against the second Robin, Jason would have made a Nigma balls joke that would have utterly devastated Eddie on a psychological level.

I feel like its extremely plausible that at some point some butthurt nerd goes supervillian.

Can you imagine Batman just posting the riddles online, and them being solved in like 10 minutes by the collective force of the internet? And every one would be like, "That was pretty lame. Try making a hard riddle" and the Riddler will just give up.

Simple fix would be to make new never heard of riddles. Yeah batman could still use the internet people to help but he's much smarter than most of them so it wouldn't be a huge help.

The collective power of the internet is very talented at solving esoteric puzzles and riddles. The number of times people have been able to piece together a location based on a reflected surface in a photo is pretty crazy. If Batman wanted to really break the Riddler he could just post his riddles on the internet, have them get solved in a few minutes by some 14 year old kid waiting in a Valorent lobby, and he would just keep his ass in Arkham.

Idk about that fast but I do remember right here on this site I witnessed people figure out a secret to a old game where one of the makers gave a very vague clue when asked of there was a secret nobody had discovered yet. It was magical to watch as the game had been out like 20 or 25 years by that point. And it was definitely not easy as there where several steps involved that just wouldn't line up with something a player would normally do. The debug code for shadowrun snes.

But the problem with a riddle is there is often several answers that would work but there is only one accepted answer

Amanda Waller looked up one of his riddles in an animated Suicide Squad movie.

The Internet killed the Riddler since you can just google his Riddles

Something they've made fun of frequently in modern Batman

I think if he was introduced today he'd be much like an incel Reddit User who traps Batman in a cyber video game world.

They did that in the 90s and it only makes more sense now

To be fair, I don't think all of his riddles are meant to be difficult to solve. What I remember from clips of the Adam West Batman is he used riddles people could know the answer to, or figure out easily. Being able to put all the answers together to figure out his scheme was the true riddle.

That might depend on the specific Riddler version, though.
