I disagree. I think theyre gonna use his comments from last night to disqualify him for running for office. He literally said last night he wont accept the results of the 2024 election.

cnn didnt give him a platform he didnt already have lmao. Republicans are already listening to trump. Liberals might have watched but it only made them more angry towards trump which is a win as itll make them wanna vote more

yall love being mad and upset over everything. I guarantee you CNN gave him the stage so he can incriminate himself and let democrats build additional cases against Trump.

You'd have a point if America held politicians accountable, but they don't. All this is going to do is rile up his base

Saying hes never had a platform is one of the dumbest things you could say lol
I didn't say that. I asked, "what platform has he always had".

A platform doesn't automatically manifest itself. It is given. Which is the whole point of this discussion.

A book is not a platform, but a publisher is. A television show is not a platform except by virtue of the television network airing it. His presence on Twitter was a platform that was taken from him.

Do you see where I'm going with this?

How so? They dont watch cnn anyways. They call it fake news.

I think trump being allowed to run for office again in 2024 is the real issue here. Im pretty sure democrats will bar him from the 2024 presidential election through these federal lawsuits.

and I think theyd be justified. Obviously thatll rile up his base. But hes actively promoting denying election results. Let him. It will only further prove that hes a fascist who deserves to spend the rest of his life in prison.

I think youre honestly very confused as to what a platform is. A television show is absolutely a platform. Anything that gives someone exposure is a platform.

youre arguing really stupid semantics, honestly. I dont even know what point youre trying to make, you just seem a bit confused really

So you don't see where I'm going with this.

Trump doesn't make his own platforms. People give platforms to him.

Yes, you can make the argument that if CNN didn't give Trump a platform, Fox would, but honestly who cares what Fox will do, because they're bleeding people and money and viewers.

The point is that CNN should not be giving Trump a platform if they do not wish to see Trump elected again. When Anderson Cooper bitches directly to the viewers about how they "have to" do this, he's being completely disingenuous on the motivations.

We're all aware that the only reason CNN is doing this is for revenue.

And as to your argument that Trump will continue to incriminate himself and he'll get caught this time:

The reason Trump is not behind bars is not due to lack of evidence or testimony or probable cause.

The reason Trump is not behind bars is because he is rich and can buy his way out of the American justice system.

No amount of further incrimination on a television show will speed this process up or further enable it.

Well yeah of course its for revenue. But again, letting trump publicly make a fool of himself will only help democrats further at this point.

did you watch the entire town hall? It was an embarrassment on trumps part. He was unhinged, visibly upset, incoherent, etcIts not like hes convincing anyone new to vote for him lol. The more he talks publicly, the more hes going to lose those casual Republican supporters who voted for him in the past.

CNN doesnt just do things for revenue. They have a political interest and strategy in mind. Guaranteed. Its naive to think its purely about the money
