Not particularly, average intelligence is probably going to get you at least a C+ Real Analysis/combinatorics/number theory etc? furb 05/11/23 10:05:45 PM #6:	I dunno. I honestly feel like it takes some talent. I was in grad school and I had to take a bunch of 600 level statistics classes to get a doctorate. It was technically for a social science field. My undergrad program was in a college of liberal arts. I took 6 hours of math throughout my entire undergrad life. I got to grad school struggled mightily with my stats classes. One of my professors told me anybody smart enough to get into the program was smart enough for the math, even if they didn't lead the class. I passed the first course but I barely passed the next one. I knew I had no shot at passing the next two I needed. I changed to a master's program instead which didn't require more stats. I believe I am fairly smart, but I am garbage at anything past arithmetic. I find I can understand the concepts but struggle actually performing the tasks.
