Even getting married isn't that big of a deal since you've been dating for years and have years to go through pros and cons and decide if it's right for you.

Having kids is something people think about their whole lives.

Work is something people think about for many years before they get into it.

When buying a house you have a few weeks tops to make a decision. If you pass you might not get a house like that any time soon. If you get it you wonder if you should've waited. You also question what it's worth you compared to what it's worth to the market. In some cases you have under a week to make these decisions.

Im just so happy to be beyond that step, I can simply worry about retirement, kids college funds, our leisure funds, and just enjoy our lives. And honestly all of that budgeting is going to be autopilot after a few months once budget stabilizes after all our upfront house costs like new furniture and modifications and whatever, and I start making automatic deposits into my brokerage and college savings for kids etc.

We get the keys tonight.
