I only eat steaks made from cows that have received an honorary doctorate, although I will compromise and have a hamburger from a cow without one as long as there's a picture of it with a top hat and monocle.

If it costs more, and the only marketing angle is "guilt", then it's not going anywhere. Impossible/Beyond are still struggling to get any market traction, because it still costs too damn much.

Very yay.

The bio-industry could downsize drastically. Aside from preventing a lot of animal harm, the environmental improvements would be colossal.

As for costs, cultured meat companies are constantly working on refining the production to the point where it will be affordable by the time it's expected to be approved in various first-world countries.
So far the only cultured meat that's publicly available are chicken nuggets in Singapore, which seems to be going ok so far.

All joking aside, if it tastes good and doesn't give you cancer more than normal meat, probably. Just get it right and I have no issue eating the science meat.

For what it's worth the impossible stuff is hella hard to distinguish from real meat, I've had it a bunch of times.

I would happily pay more if it was better for the environment and just as good. I simply havent found something just as good though.

I'll be happy to try it if it's a cheaper alternative and won't break me when I need to go meat shopping but with the way things are it'll probably be way more expensive then real meat and probably even more expensive then vegan options.
