Not having to share money or a banking account. I keep seeing things on the Internet where couples, both married or just dating, talking about dumb shit like the bread winner should pay more of the bills or they should get a joint account but one of the couple isn't down for it so it strains the relationship. Sounds like drama that I would not want to deal with.

But if I was to had a s/o who I trust and commit to, I wouldn't mind us having a joint account and paying more bills if in fact I was the bread winner but that's just me talking looking from the outside.

Agreed but I have spoken to couples who believes in having separate accounts. They have agreed bills each take care of like regular roommates. Even when married they think spendings should be private.
