Fred Hampton, a prominent black panther chairman in the 60s who inspired the minorities in Chicago to unite and work for better conditions.

The police and fbi didn't like any of that and decided to undermine him at every turn, ultimately just straight up assassinating him in a police raid.

The movie is about a black guy they arrested and convinced to be an informant and spy from within, joining the black panther party and getting close to the leader.

Daniel kaluuya is in this and he's really good. Pretty good movie

Yea. That movie is really amazing. I'm mad that nobody got in trouble for what they did to him. Straight up murder. The ending really upset me.

Jessie plemons from breaking bad is in this and perfectly plays the fbi agent with the same kind of unsettling calmness he had back then. Lakeith Stanfield plays the informant who initially agrees to be a spy to get out of jail, but starts to regret it when he becomes inspired by Fred Hampton and actually believes in his message. Still doesn't stop him from betraying him and drugging him though.

This is all based on a true story and the spy eventually committed suicide after a real life documentary about this event came out.

It has to make you wonder what other assassinations J. Edgar Hoover was responsible for. JFK and Nixon both went on record to say they were afraid of him.

Conservatives have forgotten too. Because MAGA belief on the FBI is that they work for Biden and the Democrat party

the fbi was not trumps friend because he hilariously interfered with them while throwing his many tantrums. giving the intelligence state a hard time was one of the only decent things he did, albeit he accomplished it by being completely incompetent

but i would say that the fbi is a lot more solidly in bed with the majority of conservatives than anyone left of center that actually wants to change anything

It was upsetting, but what really got me upset was when I went on Google and found out that fred Hampton was literally a kid, he was 21 when they killed him. First off to deliver such inspiring speeches so young is impressive, but to have such a person cut down like that at such a young age... jfc.

It's kinda crazy that we have literal examples of the fbi straight up killing people and comparable to stuff like China government or secret police in Italy and Germany but it's like people are completely indifferent

Not exactly stuff they teach in school lest you get labeled as teaching anti American/government, woke, CRT, identity politics etc
