When you literally just need to clean out some leftovers and you end up making some unique stoner snack of the gods.

Like this weekend I wanted to make breakfast for everyone but I couldn't be bothered going to the shops to get anything. I fished around in my fridge and realised I'd made a really fancy salad the day before - everything in it was from the local greengrocers using local produce. I had exactly one egg each from some pet chickens our neighbour has, and some bagels from the local bakery, and some home made mango hot sauce, and then some leftover boerewors sausage my mum had gifted me from yesterday's bbq.

And so I made these sausage fried egg breakfast bagels and they were unreal. I can never repeat this, because who the fuck goes to the local everything and prepares a salad and uses the fanciest of sausages just to make breakfast bagels.

Hunting your prey in the wild. Nothing but you, a handmade spear, and the hunt.
After you slay your pray you cook it over the flames and feast on the delicious flesh. Your caveman like shrieks of triumph fill the air.
The mailman. He has seen too much. You pounce with the ferocity of an angry cheetah.
Sprays of blood splatter all over the sidewalk.
"Damn. I've done it again" you say to yourself.
The body is quickly shoved into the back of the mail truck. Good. Nobody has noticed. You drive the vehicle to the old quarry and ghost ride it in. Splash! With the others.
Now. Back home. To continue the feast. Oh the next door lady's dog is so tasty!

Some failed experiments for sure along the way in my younger years, some stuff I still make sometimes.

Yeah cleaning out leftovers and combining them in one meal is such a good feeling. Being able to open the fridge and make a meal out of random stuff in there is quite a great skill to have too.

Recently I've gotten into bread baking using the no-knead bread method. Honestly ending up with a beautiful, crispy, delicious loaf of bread for only 1 single minute of active work will never not be impressive to me. Having just a salad isn't fulfilling, but having a salad with a couple of slices of fresh bread is a legit meal! Love it!
