You do realize how hard and mind numbingly excruciating it has been over the last few years having to repeat yourself over and over, trying to give a genuine effort in explaining why someone is wrong? And then have them just repeat themselves not understanding the shit you say that a 5 year old could comprehend? And on top of that, shout on top of you and try to gaslight you that you're the bad guy? It's a lost cause. At this point in my life, I only try to educate the people I care about. It takes more energy than anyone has to constantly be teaching people who are arguing in bad faith, who don't want to learn, who don't know how to learn, who just want to waste your time. I'm of two minds about it On one hand It's absolutely true that it gets frustrating dealing with such lazy dishonest people often in bad faith Christ just talking about anti-vaxxers alone is infuriating. I think the example on CE that springs to mind was Spike openly denying that there was anti-vax protests going on in the UK WHILE A RIOT WAS BEING LIVESTREAMED and then just ducking out and continuing the same shit in another topic Same happens in real life, stuff stacks and it gets grating dealing with the right wing BUT that said, I feel like people use "I don't have to educate you!" as excuse when they are wrong or to handwave something stupid they said Curiously you'll often see people "Who don't have to time" to educate people on something stupid they said, but then they will spend 100s if not thousands of hours harrasing and insulting said person they don't have time to explain themselves to. I dunno, it's complicated If you are arguing for something or presenting a theory or whatever, I think you're obligated to show your work, and saying "it's not my job to educate you" is a cop out. If you don't wanna debate, don't start one. If I'm in a situation where somebody is saying something heinous, I'm going to make the most cursory of attempts to be like "yo why do you think that" but I'm not here to go in-depth with people on why, like, vaccines work, or why racism is bad. [LFAQs-redacted-quote] The system was developed by ancient Babylonians and it was formulated through surveys. The seasonal stuff is post hoc justification for coincidences. The coincidences being high predictability in human age progression and constant orbits will sometimes overlap the same way if I just grab any two random numbers and begin multiplying them in increments I'll eventually find two values for where they're the same. The most famous one is the Saturn return which is supposed to signify hardship and stress and for most people it happens around college finals or getting your first job as an adult or something like that because it takes about 18-24 years after birth to happen and it will always happen. But it has nothing to do with Saturn. We made it that way. --- It says right here in Matthew 16:4 "Jesus doth not need a giant Mecha." https://i.imgur.com/dQgC4kv.jpg ... Copied to Clipboard!
