...from like 5-10 yrs ago? Remember when those small point and shoot cameras were all the rage? Now you never even see people using them. Any of you know, are most good cell phone cameras maybe even better than a 7 yr old point and shoot? or are those old ones still better?

Flagship phones have better main cameras, but the secondary cameras are about on par with basic digital cameras from back then. So yeah, no reason to carry around a dedicated camera unless you're using something high end.
