Just finished Resident Evil 5, seeing how this thing holds up.

I need to quickly think up a voice to read Skull Kid's dialogue in.

I'm going with a slightly more nasal version of a Tidus voice, maybe throw in a few voice cracks.

I gotta say I've seen like two minutes of him and already he's got more expressive animation than a lot of WW and TP's characters.

I remember this game being frustrating at times and having a weird save system and also vague about what you have to do next.
But oh well, in I go.

Link's just had an accident at the hands of Skull Kid, he's just entered *Sighs and reads cue cards* a vegetative state.

There's a dead tree guy near the exit.
Did Skull Kid's curse steal this guy's soul and use it to change Link?
Because I remember the other masks have to come from people you play a song for, don't they?

I like that there's a random Majora's Mask balloon. Gives the something is wrong with this town vibes.

I always loved playing Majora's mask. Even though the game is really "side quests: the video game...oh and there's a few dungeons too..."

Aright we put one on the board. I found the fairy and taped the local pool-dwelling banshee back together.

I spoke to him. In this one he knows fairies exist and is just hopelessly waiting for one to come to him.

In WW it's hard to tell if he knows they're real and wants to meet one, or if he really likes fairy stories and just really hopes they're real. Dude has his own island in that game though so it can't be all doom and gloom for him.

This game is so good. Just wandering around the evironments is such a comfy audio/visual experience.

Edit: Okay my one hunch was right, I knew I could trade something to get access to the Deku launcher plant thing.
And now I can reach the door that goes to the Skull Kid fight. Must be something to do for 2 days.

Wow that effect where the bell rings and the screen shrinks caught me off guard. I don't remember that at all.
I'm rummaging through shops and I've found that scarecrow that lets you mess with the time. I know there's also some lady to who tells you a boring story that lets you skip time somewhere too.

12 hours left on the final day.
What to do...
I already watched the knights argue with an actual carnival faction, found 50 rupees and threw everything in the bank, I can shoot bubbles, I have full magic, I looked in every house it'd let me go in...
I guess I'm just idling until the door opens.

These vivid flashbacks to leaving Hyrule are nice and all but I really don't think this is the time.

There's a piece of heart mini game in the hole next to the fairy fountain. Kinda late to do it now but if you win on all three days you get the heart. (Or maybe the heart is always the day 3 prize? i forget).

Other than that you can try to glitch yourself out of clock town and grind rupees, but yeah there isn't much to do. I think the first cycle is deliberately light to encourage first timers to get a lay of the land and see as much of the central hub as possible, since so much content revolves around those locations and characters

This guy has a song that turns peoples' minor complaints and grievances into masks. He also has a lot of masks.

But he needed Link to get the Ocarina of Time back before the song did anything. He even played it in front of Link and nothing happened until Link played it back.
So what, does he have his own magical instrument he uses to go around harvesting negativity and making masks but he left it at home? He knows a lot about Majora's Mask, says he deliberately tracked it down and took it for himself so I'm guessing this guy is just crazy into occult stuff in general and the masks just happen to be his favorite part.

Also how exactly do you 'remove a mask' that has merged with you, become your face and turned you into another species?

Man the in-game ocarina feels kinda strange to play.
I managed a few notes from a song that's been stuck in my head for like three years now but you really have to put in some weird stick motions to get something basic sounding.

I don't feel like I should be making a run for that forest temple place yet, I'm just looking around for things I can do to hedge my bets.

I've got the notebook, I counted to 10 for the postman, I jump attacked some wooden logs and I learned the double/reverse song of time.
I guess I could grind for rupees for a while. The bank guy said he'd give me a wallet upgrade if I got 200 a while ago.

I get to keep the bomb bag if I reset, right?

I walked into Clock Town and I think it crashed.
Has it just undone all that progress?
Edit: Well, I've waited on the screen for a while, Link has not made it from Termina field into Clock Town yet. This is a crash. Let's see if I've lost 80 percent of my progress or 90.

Ah. Look, I get that taking away my progress is the theme of the game but I'm not putting up with the game refusing to let me save then crashing. At least Twilight Princess' slow intro continued to move in the right direction albeit at a painful pace. The triforce shards in Wind Waker weren't even half as bad as I remembered the being. This is a whole other story.

Let's reminisce on time spent with the best zelda game.
I remember the time I walked and the game suffered slowdown.
How I long for the part where I couldn't skip any of the cutscenes.
What a magical occasion it was when the game made me play the exact same hide and seek minigame twice to get the notebook.
And what a great ending, where Link stumbled into the black void that allegedly lead to a town only to find out that it did not.

What are you playing this on? The only version I know that's prone to crashing is the Gamecube pre-order disc port. >_>

Yep, Zelda Collector's Edition for Gamecube.

I've only ever played it on GameCube. There were a couple of times I tried to do as much as possible during a single cycle for maximum productivity. Then the game crashed and I had to take a long break to regain my motivation to play at all.

You should do owl statue saves and copy the file.
