that I was giving ff14 a fair chance till I got the mount
the mount isn't much faster than walking
the mount needs you to stand still to summon it
the mount needs you to actively unmount before being able to attack
even freakin world of magecraft let you do thati n 2004

so I will go back to guild wars 2

If only there was some way to make mounts go faster ..... too bad that doesn't exist

It really is, especially once you unlock flight. You can also buy terrain maps or whatever they're called that increase the mount's terrestrial movement speed even more.

You can unmount while approaching the thing you want to kill and seamlessly enter combat

I know the problem is me being picky but I still dislike the dismount thing
now if you tell me I can fly on the mount in all the content including the basegame once flight is unlocked that would peak my interest but I thought flight is only done in the expansions from when fliight was introduced

You can fly in the base game once you fight the big boss of the base game

Mount speed increases at certain points and you can even fly pretty quickly which is way faster.

But I mean if you aren't feeling the game then there is nothing wrong with playing something else you would rather play.

They patched flight into the ARR areas as well, I think all you have to do is a short sidequest after unlocking flight in Heavensward and you can fly around the old zones as well. You don't even have to find aether currents like you do in all the expansion zones (which is really just SE's way of making sure you explore the zones in the intended manner initially and don't sequence break)

im no fan of ffxiv
but going from ffxiv back to guild wars
is like saying you're gonna stop eating mcdonalds and go back to licking toilet seats

I'll keep installed and just see how I get on and try different jobs
It's just annoying me

And gw2 was fun form what I played
I liked my engineer

Get out of ARR asap to get the most fun.

*said unironically when it took me a year to get out of ARR as I was playing extremely slowly* <_<
