also having a random ape take them to cranky instead of funky kong was criminal, nothing would have to be changed at all and it would have been 100 times better

I dont think donkey Kong has ever been in a super Mario game besides the party games and kart only for filler characters. Now I remember Mario being in donkey Kong and some other Games as a cameo.

There were the Mario vs Donkey Kong games for the GBA

Because they needed someone to save but they didnt want to make peach the damsel in distress because "sexism".
