I assume you mean me, but you are wrong. Questioning people who are misrepresenting events as they are currently known is not defending the man. As Ive already said, I think the man should get charges. Pulling out a gun and starting blasting is very rarely a reasonable proportional response and that includes this situation.

You're the one that's adding elements into it all on your own. He literally started shooting the moment he got pepper sprayed. I'm pretty sure his phone wasn't what was in his hand.

He's not. He's just arguing that the other poster is wildly misrepresenting the story; which he is. The shooting is already bad on its own, there's no need for further embellishment.

This dude absolutely broke store policy by following them out of the store. The rule for suspected theft at any retail company is that only trained security employees should approach them and they should only do so if they have reason to believe they aren't a threat. And absolutely no one should ever follow a suspect out of the store.

So this dude just broke rules to play hero, then panicked and shot someone. Absolutely an asshole and deserves to be charged.

Was he still wearing his Walgreens uniform when he approached them outside?
