Doomer and, by extension, doomerism are terms which arose primarily on the Internet to describe people who are extremely pessimistic or fatalistic about global problems such as overpopulation, peak oil, climate change, and pollution. Some doomers assert there is a possibility these problems will bring about human extinction

Socially? Oh yah. Feels like more people than ever are angry, paranoid, afraid and coping with narcissistic traits. Open, available propaganda is also putting people into little groupthink boxes. There's also a possibility of lead poisoning from sources other than car fuel, but it's possible traces of THAT are still in the soil everywhere. Not to mention the attacks on education and critical thinking skills, because they don't want kids who challenge and out think their preachers and parental authority figures.

Ive had a house flooded and my parents displaced for a year because 5 ft of water flooded their house in an area that has never flooded before.
