Metallica is a victim of their own success

there have been so many great records from 80s metal bands over the past decade and the best Metallica can muster up is it kinda sounds like their good records but 20% slower

I listened to it. It feels very much like a paint by numbers hard rock album from Metallica. Tons of technical ability, but there are only so many ways you can transition and massage a melody.
