sorry, but a little tiny figure made out of cheap flimsy plastic that's only 3 inches tall is not worth $15, it's just fucking not and never will be, and those are the "cheap" ones

however,

i picked up all five of these on clearance for $5 each.

the msrp of the small murdered out motorcycle dude was $25.

the other four was $35.

fucking outrageous, only the green guy is actually genuinely solid, like it feels excellent in the hands, the others feel like they're from wish.com.

I have some stuff from the Armada series. I know that one isnt seen as very good in the community but it holds a special place in my heart. I have a Sparkplug mini-con in my purse as a fidget toy.

I want to buy transformers toys but don't wany to spend $25-$35 on them. But I'm always looking at them.

Also, sorta change of topics but I want a really nice Megazord set where all 5 peices transform and make the megazord (had one like this as a kid) but also are their own toys. All the megazords I see are one solid piece.

you can either buy the amazon one for like $70 (i got it for $45 by preordering it last year), or...there's the ascension project one

https://hasbropulse.com/products/hasbro-power-rangers-lightning-collection-zord-ascension-project-mighty-morphin-dino-megazord

reviews for it say it's nice, but still made of cheap plastic and not worth what they want though

Yeah Transformers got real fucking expensive real quickly. A "deluxe" class toy is like 25 bucks now? I remember they were 15 when I stopped collecting back in like 2015 or so.

They never got that low for the nicer ones in my area. I did buy a Tigatron for like $9, though, and a Terrasaur for I think $4.50 (but he's smaller, so he's cheaper). The Tigatron was a waste.

Most of the BW stuff is just re-releases, too, which makes them kinda bullshit.

They do have some lower-range ones. The deluxe might be $20 or $25 now, but deluxe is a mid-point product (or entry-level for the expensive ones).

You can also check other retailers like Burlington Coat Factory, Marshall's, TJ Maxx, etc, for cheaper ones. Burlington had some of the deluxe Cyberverse Adventures stuff for $10 (and the Starscream with the rocket effects was definitely worth it... and I don't regret picking up the lower-end action feature one, either), etc.

But it seems like the MSRP for most collector-level figures is $25+ now, which is kinda bullshit.

It never got down to $20 at my Wal-Mart, but I regret nothing. There'll probably be a better version eventually.

...granted, if that was a MP Optimus Primal for $20, you'd be crazy. But I don't think normal retailers got the MP and, even if they did, it wouldn't ever go for $20. Years ago, I saw a MP Grimlock on clearance for like $80. Supposedly one of the MP seekers was as low as $40 like eight years ago.
