When they sneak up on a house like threats, and spook the resident. Then the resident goes outside with a gun to see what the shadows and noises are, and they get shot..... what should be done to the cops involved?

They almost also killed his wife. His daughter was in the house too I think and is probably traumatized. I think I heard she is high-school age

Every officer who approached the house gets life in prison, among the general population, and any money that would have been used towards benefits and the pensions of those officers must be made in payments to the families of all those who were killed.

I feel like in case where it's a blatant fuckup or worse like that, the cops should be immediately fired and lose all protections. Just be treated like a normal person doing this.

Yes. And tell the person who they are. In this case it sounds like the victim probably died in a state of confusion. Cops always act like citizens are mind readers and can magically instantly know who the person attacking them is

If the judge signed off on the wrong house, jail for life.
If the cops got wrong address, jail for life.

Damn, they announced they were the police 3 times in a minute and a half but anyone can just claim they are the police.

I don't know what it's like in the US but isn't pointing a gun at a cop suicide by cop?
