We've been trying to get an AT&T connection working for weeks, but AT&T keeps dropping the ball. They've got equipment configured at a data center, and the people who managed that data center said AT&T still needs to make the connection from their equipment to a panel so that we can connect to their service.

AT&T scheduled a technician to go to the data center to do this. We sent one of our guys to meet him there. AT&T didn't show up. So we had to reschedule.

Same thing on the 2nd try.

Same thing on the 3rd try.

Yesterday, AT&T was scheduled to get there at 9am. Our guy got there at 9am, but AT&T was again nowhere in sight. Fast forward to 12pm, AT&T still hadn't shown up. Our guy had to leave.

We then got an email from the person at AT&T we've been coordinating with. "Our tech showed up and didn't find anything wrong. Did you speak to him?"

Their tech never showed up and therefore didn't look at jack shit. This is nuts.

50/50 chance guy is falsely reporting about his "work" or it simply being raw and unbridled incompetence from AT&T

Either sounds on brand tbh.

Frontier
Comcast

In my experience, Spectrum/Charter, Zayo, and Google Fiber, all generally show up when they say they will. Google Fiber has been especially good in that they literally have shown up at the scheduled time on the dot multiples times when I've needed to have them dispatch for install.

Level3 gets another special mention for scheduling a dispatch for a certain day except the following year and not catching it even though I called multiple times that day to confirm.

I had AT&T internet for a few years. The internet itself sucked but even worse was when I moved out of state to an area they didn't have service. That was the reason I gave when I initially cancelled the service. For about a month after that I got multiple calls per week asking why I cancelled. Each time I told them because they didn't even provide service in the state I'm moving to.

These assholes don't talk to each other or have any kind of central log to look at before talking to you.

Its almost like theyre going to a different address, so maybe double check with them and assure them you were gone and nobody stopped by.

I have AT&T fiber internet at my house and it has been flawless for the two years I've had the service. They were just starting to get on my good side, but a couple work related issues that have nothing to do with my home internet have me hating them again.
