Because when confronted on how batshit insane of a statement that is, you basically turned it into a woe is me type of deal implying that you do indeed deserve happiness. But according to that sentence straight from your mouth, nobody should deserve it because some innocent people aren't. What makes you so special over everyone else? But either way, "why should anyone be allowed to be happy" is a lot closer to my initial extrapolation than "most people deserve to be happy", which is quite literally the exact opposite of "why should anyone allowed to be happy".

I don't think Lemkin's definition of genocide (which is the basis for the UN definition) supports the idea of a "trans genocide". "National group" is supposed to be a looser stand in for "nation", not to mean a group that is nationally present.

I think it's still valid to refer to it as genocide/attempted genocide, I just think you have to appeal to more contemporary definitions.

Genocide does not require gas chambers or mass killings. They are crimizalizing cross dressing, making it illegal to teach kids even teens about anything LGBTQ, banning gender affirming care now even for adults, making them into boogeymen who "hate women" and are "Groomers."

Their goal is erasure. They want trans people to kill themselves when they cannot take the dysphoria or persecution anymore or at least never talk or act upon their identity. And they will let off or give a slap on the wrist to people who kill or assault people for being trans too.

We just had our first state make it literally illegal to transition at any age. How does that not systematically eliminate trans people? You don't need to ever escalate to death camps when you just push the minorites you're oppressing to kill themselves.

Yeah it's fucking bad here. ACLU and another group I can't remember off hand are prepping lawsuits to tie this shit up in court, and one st louis hospital has refused to stop treating trans patients even amidst an investigation. There are people here willing to fight, but it's not looking good.

Can someone supply more information about the proposed banning of healthcare for trans people? Because the targeted denial of all medical services to a selected group of people is surely a denial of the right to life, and it's hard to argue that's not a genocidal approach.

In their eyes, the "right to life" only matters as long as it is about a fetus.
Once it is born, they dont give a fuck. Unless you are a hetro cis white male that shares the same views as them.

You're the one who needs to shut up. Red states like Florida are laying the groundwork with the "groomer" rhetoric and loosening restrictions on the death penalty. Things could easily head that way.
