Great series. Lots of nostalgia.

They added a feature you can activate that cranks your buster damage way up. Will be nice for cruising through the easier or more repetitive parts of some games.

I wonder if the Esport can take off with this. Im pretty sure there is a tiny esport that exists currently

I can't wait to play this but I want all the games and I don't want to pay $60 though.

Honestly all I want from the second collection is MMBN 6 because 4 and 5 were kind of ass

You can turn it off right? I imagine with my experience with One Step from Eden and other roguelikes that I'd have a kick ass deck that can delete enemy viruses and navis easily.

I don't think I can bring myself to pay $40 for that, which is unfortunate.

I tried out an online battle in 6. I probably shouldn't have used that patch card that gives you a life aura, lol. Not really fair since everyone pretty much just had the default folder since the game just came out.

ugh it's 40 bucks for each individual volume though if you want the entire package you can get it for $60 but the only game in the second volume I want is MMBN 6 because the game with the cyber beast f***** real hard after the awful games that were MMBN 4+5.

Number four centered the entire storyline around a tournament which Lan could have won most of by default but he's a nice guy so he actually would look for every single opponent as part of the story. The dark chips sounded cool but I remember they took away from your max health every time the you use them and I didn't want that handicap. Then five came in with the meh liberation missions.

All I want is a Command Mission remake.

These games were $30 a pop when they came out. Market price for them now with the box is like $200+ a game. 10 games for $60 is a killer steal and I hope enough people buy this and enjoy it. I got it on Steam, PS4, and Switch lol.

I know they're worth it but I just already have so many games and I can't go spending all my money on every game I want to play, especially when it comes to games I've already played once and might not even finish.

I started playing 1 after I lost Lan's giveaway topic shit's rigged I'm telling you and liked it but got frustrated with it. I've heard 1 is very much early-game syndrome though. Made it right up past the waterworks dungeon before taking a break.

Decided to buy the collection with what little money I have left because I am the MASTER of poor life decisions. Do not regret it one bit. I wound up playing through 1 again first and foremost, and I decided to use the MAX Buster mode, though only until I got to the point in the game where I was at before. Now that I'm there and past it, I've swapped back to regular gameplay.

I'm really liking it, though the SkullMan fight was painful, horrendous, and took me like, 7 tries, especially since I was trying to get used to not using the MAX Buster again. I'm guessing this will be a trend for the bosses from this point on.

All that said, I want to convince people to buy this collection? What will it take?

I love that Megaman talks to you in the menu

Mega Man Battle Network 1 is bare bones but my favorite part about it is that it has the least restrictions on how many of the same chip you can put in your deck so you can load it up with 10 of the best chip if you want.

I saw that and others for each game! I havent touched them yet though because they say 1 time use when I want to abuse them through out my play lol.

I like how I still remember from playing the first game so many years ago now that I can combined canon a,b,c for a special chip before the game introduces it. Damn Navi merchant wants 3k for canon c and Im only getting 100 zenny at the start lol.

I never played the first or second game, so I'll definitely be picking this up... eventually.

I also still have my copy of 3 and 6, but I actually like 100+% or whatever it was those games and so I don't want to just start them over. I literally had to cheat to finish 3 with those stupid trading requirements.

I played through the first game up to the final boss without realizing I could use my buster. Thought my only attacks were the chips. I was so upset with myself for making fights drag out so long.

Idk how either. I would use my couple chips to attack then dodge until the bar filled so I could get more chips. Near the end of the game, I bumped a key on my keyboard(I wasn't playing on a gba >_>) and he fired a buster shot and I was like wtf?! Spent the next couple days kicking myself.

Honestly, nothing else has been made that comes close to the style of gameplay except the recent indie title, One Step from Eden which is a faster paced version of the gameplay. It's an action tactical rpg with chips which may seem like a final fantasy tactics or card based game, but it's really not. It's the only series in the genre that I enjoy for tactical games. The chips and collecting them is unique and so is the grid style gameplay. Something really neat about going on the "internet" and busting viruses.

Capcom should just make Mega Man Gems Collection or something that has all of the spinoff titles like Command Mission.

Dma I'm sad, no place has it and GameStop is preorder only. I guess when it comes to switch games I ahve to start preordering them if i want them on launch hahaha

Amazon has it. Not in stock but will guarantee you most likely to get it. I'm sure you could walk into a Walmart or Target to pick it up too. In a couple months it'll probably be $40.

It it makes you feel any better, I pre-ordered at gamestop and it ain't shipped yet, lol. (This has been a ongoing thing with practically all online retailer stores though for the past year or so. If its a smaller game/non hyped flavor of the month AAA game, then good fucking luck expecting these games to actually get shipped out on release day nowadays).

If I pre-ordered in-store chances are it would have been available for me to pick-up, but I had to pick shipping since I never got around to making that in-person pre-order order for it......I probably won't be getting the game in the mail until like 3 days later. I also doubt any other store actually has lose copies just sitting on the shelves. This release's cartridge/disc print appears to have been extremely small.

*I pre-ordered the PS4 version. I don't believe a single store in my town in south carolina has it in a 100 mile radius, lol*.

A handful of extra minor differences, 4 has different side-character stories you play through depending on the version, and 3 has one swappable boss. other than that Meagan gets "Double Souls" or "Crosses" with the various "friends" he makes along the game which vary between version. IIRC in 3 it was required to trade with the other version to get all the chips, but in none of the later games.

Definitely a pretty minor change. Enough that each version is distinctive, but not enough to really make it worth wanting to play both unless you're a really die-hard MMBN fan.

Any performance issues or other concerns? I'm still fucking bitter about the Symphonia debacle that I'm leery of something like this.

I never knew it was unfinished. As a kid when I discovered emulators it was one of the first games I played lol.

None that I encountered so far. A smooth 60 fps. It looks almost identical to the GBA games so idk how they could mess that up lol.

Wait?! You can download special chips?! I can get the Gospel chips in MMBN2?! I can get the Darkness Program Advance?! I remember a friend of mine back in early High School trading me a copy of ElecGospel and using the Darkness PA! Im so glad that they are giving this to us! Also, I never got to use GateSP! Thank you for that too!

No way I can put 1 over 5. Im sorry. That is nostalgia talking. Hell, I might put 4 over 1 but that is debatable

So, I have only played moments of one of the games at a friends house as a kid, and I enjoyed it. Is every game connected in some way? Is it a 10 game story? Or is each game kinda its own thing? I never properly played through one and it seems very fun
