to answer that other topic, no men should not have to pay on the first date. but that expectation isn't going to change in our lifetimes. so since the money matters so little to me i've just paid for the entirety of every first date i've had since the pandemic.

and no, "the asker should pay" doesn't make sense because men are also expected to make the first move in general

Uber ride-$30-60, since some girls don't drive or don't want to drink and drive at all, i just pay for their ride out to me
Dinner-$70-90, 2 entrees and possibly an appetizer at a nice restaurant
Drinks-$60-80, 2 drinks each at a nice restaurant...or sometimes i'll just order the entire bottle of wine

for reference, i take them to a nice restaurant in my area, nothing michelin star but it is noticeably on the nicer side

sometimes they drive themselves, sometimes we don't get appetizers, sometimes we only have 1 drink each etc so the average is around $150 for a first date, which i pay the entirety of

i've probably been on 50ish first dates since the pandemic, so i've been spending a lot

First one is pretty basic, but I enjoy the simplicity of the design, yet still shows the great detail one would expect out of such a luxurious brand of watches.

The second is, an admittedly, dark love for gold. I just really enjoy the design, material, and color.

The last time I went on a first date, she insisted on paying. To be fair, I had travelled nearly 6,000 miles that day, so she was trying to be accommodating and welcome me to the country.
