Did not expect that death to happen so early in the season. What a phenomenal episode.

I didn't expect it either but honestly I was kinda half out of it the first 5 minutes into Tom's call - I thought they were all trying to fuck with the kids because they also went like 10-15 mins before even showing Logan at all. I kept expecting some gotcha moment.

Might rewatch it knowing it's real now

Ahhhh shit. I've been waiting until all the episodes are out but maybe I'll have to start now.

Saaaame. It was just way too out of the blue and Tom was acting shady and vague like doing something he didnt want to do....which makes sense looking back. Buuuuut...dont like that they put a whole stop to the shows story. Like what are the ramifications now?! What happened with Shiv's group trying to sabotage the deal to get more money...etc

what was more interesting about this episode was the way the Roy siblings reacted to their father's death.

Facts. Which bugs me that this is the final season. I thought they were planning 5. This season has totally felt rushed and the time jump between the end of 3 and beginning of 4 really could've been shown.

The kids finally together and facing their father was awesome, but now it's just over. Would've loved more development there.

no death scene. No symptoms. No sight of the dead body ever.

You know what was very well delivered in subtext?

The kids are so screwed now. Defenseless. They're puppies without their lion dad. They don't even know, but they're so vulnerable right now, it's crazy. I even feel bad for them.

I think the entire point of his death being off screen was so the audience would feel as out of the picture as the kids were.

I thought it was done really well. An unceremonious death, sure, but that was the point. Connor's "he never even liked me" line read is probably one of the best line reads in the entire show.
