Like why is she following me when I asked her to stay there.

She gets blown up by catapult or captured.

There is no stay command, you can have her stick close or move more freely.

Imo she doesn't stick to Leon as closely as she should and that can make things annoying, especially in the catapult part.

No what makes her annoying is I can't kill all the catapult people and the enemies while she just hides in a corner somewhere.

There's one specific spot where she gets hit by the catapult damn near every time she walks through it. It's especially annoying because it takes long enough to revive her that she sometimes just immediately gets hit with another one afterward.

I'll be honest, I just kept her on the "follow closely command" 100% of the time had had no issue with her. I don't really see what the purpose of the other one is because it just means she stays far away from you being an easy target for enemies. I halfway think it's just a trap because the game seems to default to that option if you put her in a locker or separate from her for story reasons.

But even that aside, she's way better. She actually moves out of your way. I replayed the original right before the remake and the El Gigante fight after the cabin was a pain in the ass because she liked to hunker down directly in the path of the boulder I wanted to drop on him. Same with grenades. Remake Ashley can also climb down ladders and jump off ledges on her own, so you don't have to babysit her in that way.

The only thing that annoys me about her is the same thing that annoys me about Leon, and that's the damn heavy breathing. Even if they just take two steps!
