If someone else has it worse than you then you're never allowed to complain obviously.

Your central premise is wrong. White collared jobs can absolutely be difficult or have long hours. Sure they can be easy to but the same goes for blue-collared wrong.

I used to work blue collar and now I work white collar.

Turns out that it literally does not matter what you do, the stress you have in your job is almost entirely because of who you have to work with.

Maybe my experiences have made me biased. I've only had horrible jobs with horrible people and everyone I know with a white collar job seems to love it.

The easiest job I ever had was getting paid 100k a year to load cement bags into a mixer.

The hardest job I ever had was account managing 50 marketing campaigns for a digital marketing startup, and I made nearly half that.

That said there are perks to being in a comfortable office space with amenities. I dont miss washing red dirt out of my fingernails every day.

I have for most of my life worked very physical jobs, but for about two years i had a desk job and... it was the worst experience of my life. Physically it was way less taxing, mentally I was just perpetually fucked up. I ended up putting on like 40 pounds not only from lack of exercise but stress eating and drinking.

Obviously jobs involving harder physical labor are rough, but white collar stuff absolutely has it own unique stressors. I really don't think humans are meant to be trapped in a cubicle for eight plus hours a day five days a week

I know this is a bait / troll topic but whatever. I deal with customer service issues and it can be beyond stressful. I shouldnt let it get to me but Im too emotional. Id love to get out of this line of work but I legit cant find a damn thing else and its depressing as fuck.

I worked in finance. Month end close was bad, quarter close was worse, year end close had me in tears. It wasnt just presenting numbers, it was explaining them and it didnt help when the people whose departments had variance would just come up with excuses out of their asses (they had no idea why the numbers were what they were). And there is always unpaid overtime because you are salaried.

Sounds pretty boring. Also plenty of people who have it a lot easier than wasting their life away in a cubicle doing unfulfilling work that bitch about their life.

Everyone has things in their life to complain about. its not a dick measuring context of who has it the worst. If thats the case pretty much everyone living in a first world country should shut the fuck up about their problems.

I'd rather be out here, doing my 80 hr a week blue collar job, with all the bs I deal with, over being a customer service rep. The latter is much easier than what I go through... but I could not deal with the annoying bitching that they put up with on a daily basis; I'd snap.

Some people don't have enough money to eat and would kill for any job, so it really annoys me when anyone with a job complains.

I have a ton of friends with white collar jobs and a lot of them hated it. One of them even had an acute seizure due to the stress. Luckily he quit and found a better white collar job

No job is all sunshine >_> I like my job but there will always be bullshit no matter where you work.

thats the bargain, bub, they pay a shitload of money and study like crazy for 4+ hours and then work basically for free (interns) so they can get a job better than yours.
