I was toying around with getting an Invicta sometime soon. Iirc most use a Seiko movement so they're really easy to maintain and service.

This one in particular is running a tad fast at about +11 seconds a day, though admittedly this one spends a lot of time resting dial up in a display case, I only really wear this one on my days off. Most of my autos run faster when resting dial up; just nature of the beast with autos. The Seiko GMT I wear is only about +15 seconds per week since it's always moving around.

Invicta makes good watches. A lot of watch snobs look down on them because they make a lot of really huge, garish watches, but if you find one that *you* like, it will probably be reliable. They use quality mechanical movements for the price (usually Seiko).

Fossil is a fashion brand with quartz movements. They are overpriced for what they are as a timepiece but if you find one you like it will probably be reliable and last a long time. They arent junk but theyre just a fashion brand rather than being a true watchmaker.

Quartz is far more accurate, while mechanical watches are generally more interesting. They dont need a battery but do require periodic service.

I have seen that term (fashion brand) used before, I am not truly sure what they mean.

I know its not a good thing, but not the objective criterion that define it. For example, brietling has used ETA movements, so had Omega in the past. Wouldnt that make them fashion brands?

Nah I've got a few Seiko, Marc Anthony's, couple Citizen, Olevs, and some other randos that I liked but Invicta is my favorite

Why not? I have a watch for every outfit/occasion, they're fun and don't break the bank.

Many would argue Seikos are more accurate than Swiss watches. Many.

The Swiss watch is the same whereas with the Seiko just like the Lexus, its not so much fake it till you make it but solid, affordable quality that serves a purpose and delivers the same result with perhaps a little more accuracy.

Over 20 years ago I bought a Fossil watch, took it off to do some dishes and dropped it on the tile. It stopped working, never bought another watch again.

idk about that , had a cheap seiko automatic and some cheap kenneth cole and bulova automatics and the swiss ones are better. Maybe it might be the more expensive japanese automatics are really accurate but the cheap automatics are not

Says the guy spewing political shit in a topic about watches for no reason.

Anyways,
https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/a/user_image/5/3/4/AAL4msAAEXq-.jpg
This is one of my favorites so far, and has been one of my most accurate as well.
Model number is SRPD51, got mine for a little over 200 bucks but I'm sure places like Amazon will have even better deals.

weird and childish

what about a moonswatch instead? Literally 250$ omegas, with an ETA movement, made with bioceramic, proudly wearing the Speedmaster and Omega brands like their $5000 bigger brother
