Every aspect is mediocre and it all coalesces into less than the sum of its parts.

Realised I should drop it when I got to a new area and realised I dreaded having to talk to all the characters. That's usually my favourite part of a game and Vampyr made it tedious and boring.

And that's not getting started on the rubbish combat, the crafting, the boring levelling system, etc.

Not really

I thought it was kinda hard and sucky at first, but I wound up liking it enough to play through twice, back to back.

I thought it was decent, doing a "don't kill anyone" run was legitimately difficult since you ended up really underleveled by the end. Made it fun doing a "kill absolutely everyone" run and just dominating every enemy with all your powers.

I killed everyone, mind controlling them and forcing them into dark alleys.

It was fun just for that.

Not really

it sucks

I think about trying it when it is on one of those deep sales especially around September/October it seems like every year for the past few but then I read some reviews again or watch video on it and always nope out of it. I guess I hear that the combat is awful and you can't really skip it so I always just find something else horror/dark fantasy inspired instead.
